Possible bound state of a K- meson with a 4He nucleus

The analytic theory of nuclear level shifts developed in some earlier papers is applied to the 4He К ~ atom. The experimental data on the shift of the 2p level indicate that there may be a weakly bound state in the 4He К ~~ system. The binding is "weak" on the nuclear scale; the binding energy is e~ 100 keV. The probabilities for radiative transitions to this level are calculated.
