Excitation of an intense picosecond continuum in a medium lacking an inversion center
The excitation of a picosecond continuum in a medium with a quadratic nonlinearity is reported. This is the first such report. Experiments are reported on the behavior of this spectrum as a function of the pump intensity and the time.
