Observation of magnetoacoustic echo in paramagnets
Magnetoacoustic echo was observed in powdered paramagnets LiTbF4, LiHoF4, and LiErF4 at 13.4 MHz and temperature 1.6-4.2°K. The effect is attributed to the presence in the samples of elastic oscillations due to magnetostriction.
