Domain structure wall on the surface of a ferromagnet
A magneto-optical method was used to study the distribution of the magnetization in a 180° Bloch wall emerging to the surface. The wall is broadened on the surface by approximately four times (to 0.7 — 0.8 u), the normal component of the magnetization is greatly decreased, and the surface layer of the wall breaks up into subdomains of the Neel type with alternating polarity.
