Production of the 2π+π- system on light nuclei by 4-GeV/c mesons
It is shown that no process with participation of the virtual isobar Δ~(1238) exists. The mechanism of the reaction is determined in the main by the production of a virtual ir" meson which is subsequently absorbed in the nucleus.
