Cross section for the production of K0 mesons emitted at large l.s. angles from carbon and xenon nuclei

We measured the inclusive cross sections of the production of K° mesons emitted at large l.s. angles from ó and Xe nuclei under the influence of 2.9-GeV/c π" mesons. The ë "-meson spectra are satisfactorily described by the invariant function / = Ed3cr/d3p = ó ÅÈÒ[-ç/ç0] in the entire angle range 0lab > 47° and momentum range ÒÙØ > 159 MeV/ Ó. The slope parameter T0 changes from 12+14 MeV at 47°<0lab <60° to 40+5 MeV at 12O°<0,ab< 180°. The parameter ó is independent of the angle within the limit of errors.
