Radiative recombination under conditions of screening of the Coulomb interaction in CdS crystals

We investigate recombination radiation (RR) and the restructuring of the energy spectrum of CdS crystals in the case of high nonequilibrium densities of the electron-hole pairs. We show that at pair densities ne, л,, > 10" cm 3 and at low temperatures (Г =4.2-100 °K) the RR spectrum corresponds to direct interband recombination of the electron-hole plasma.
