Isotope separation by infrared laser radiation
It is shown that effective isotope separation from a gas mixture is possible by stimulation with laser radiation. The effect is physically connected with a discontinuity of the vibrational temperatures in a system of oscillators with different quantum energies at a low translational temperature of the gas.
