New type of intercalated layered compounds
The introduction of acceptor organic molecules (benzonitrile) into the layered-structure crystal Ag2F was realized for the first time. An x-ray structure analysis shows that the molecules of the benzonitrile are located between the Ag2F layers. The intercalated crystal has heightened activity.
