Non-ohmic hopping conductivity in the exponential band tail

The variable range hopping conductivity in strong electric field Ε at temperature Τ 0 is investigated. An exponential increase of density of states g(e) with energy e is assumed. It is shown that there is an energy level e-ej(£) ("the transport level"), along which an electron hops without rising or lowering in average. The dependence <r(e) has the form: -ln<r~ l/E.
