Quantum-mechanical conductivity of a ballistic point contact
The conductivity of a ballistic point contact in the form of a long bridge is calculated. The diffraction of an electron at the transition from the bridge to the massive bank is taken into account. The dependence of the conductivity on the bridge width is described by a smoothed-out staircase with steps of height e2/irfi.
