Effect of Mg impurity on the superconductivity of metal oxides of the system Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu
The superconducting transition temperatures Tc of the metal-oxide systems Bi2Sr2CaMgx Си20^ and BiSrCaMgx Cu2Oy were found to be independent of the magnesium concentration. A strong degradation of Tc was found to occur in the system Bi2Sr2Ca! _ x Mgx Cu2Oj, as the Mg concentration was increased.
