Freedericksz transition induced in nematic liquid crystal by circularly polarized light wave
It is shown theoretically that a bistability occurs, and there is a limitation on the director reorientation angle, near the threshold for the Freedericksz transition caused in a homeotropically oriented nematic liquid crystal by a circularly polarized light wave.
