Plasma oscillations of superconducting electrons in layered superconductors
Weakly damped collective oscillations in layered superconductors are examined theoretically. A mode found at low temperatures is reminiscent of Josephson plasma oscillations at a tunnel junction. Near Tc these oscillations convert into a Carlson-Goldman mode with a line spectrum. Possibilities for detecting these oscillations experimentally are discussed.
