Hysteresis of the current-voltage characteristic of a tunnel junction near the threshold eV=δ1+δ2
Particles of the normal phase at the surface of an insulator separating two superconductors give rise to a descending region on the current-voltage characteristic above the threshold, at eV >Δ! + Δ2.
