Effective-range expansion and Coulomb renormalization in the αα, dt, and d3He systems

An expression for the effective range derived here generalizes the Smorodinskii formula to the case of potentials with a Coulomb repulsion and an arbitrary angular momentum /. With increasing charges of the particles, there is an exponential renormalization of the low-energy parameters. These parameters are extracted from experimental data for the dt, d 3He, and aa systems.
