Displacement current of polarized carriers
The anomalous Hall effect and the circular surface photovoltaic effect are shown to result from—in addition to an asymmetry of the scattering—a displacement of carriers in real space during quantum transitions. This displacement is possible for particles describable by the Dirac equation and for Bloch carriers. In/?-Ge, the displacement current also contributes substantially to the circular photoconductivity.
