Crystalline and liquid phases of a pion condensate
The critical phenomena in a π -condensate phase transition of neutron matter are analyzed in the Thomas-Fermi approximation. The transition line η —nc(T) and the discontinuity in the pion field are determined. The pion lattice has a low melting point.
