Intersection of a vortex line with transverse soliton plane in rotating 3He-A: π3 topology
The coexistence of two continuous textures of different dimensionalities is observed in the Л-phase of superfluid 3He: nonsingular 4 π vortex lines that cross a planar transverse soliton. The nontrivial щ topology of the intersection point is discussed in terms of the linking numbers. © 1994 American Institute of Physics.
