General expression for optical transition probabilities in the envelope-function approximation
A general approach to the calculation of the momentum matrix elements in the envelope function approximation is presented. The contribution of the anisotropy is shown for the first time to contribute to the normal incidence absorption in the p-type quantum wells. The present model also unifies the description of optical absorption in the nand ρ-type quantum wells. © 1994 American Institute of Physics.
