Observation of the effect of nonlinear thermal conductivity in a shockwave front at velocities of 107-108 cm/sec
The structure of a shock-wave front at velocities of 107-108 cm/sec was investigated experimentally. The formation of a heated layer in front of a shock wave, which was produced by the action of electron thermal conductivity, was observed for the first time.
