Precise determination of the frequency of hyperfine splitting of muonium in quartz

We have measured the frequency of hyperfine splitting v0 for a muonium atom impurity in quartz, v^i0i = 4438 ± 8 MHz. This value for v0 is negligibly different from the vacuum value v£ = 4463 MHz. The experiment is carried out in an applied magnetic field Η = 400 Oe using equipment with a time resolution At-032 nsec.
