Supersymmetry grand unification theory with an automatic fine adjustment
A modified version of the SU(5) supersymmetry theory of grand unification is proposed. In this version of the theory, the problem of the "light doublets" is solved automatically by means of the hypothesis which states that the Higgs sector has a higher symmetry than the SU{5) symmetry. If the popular mechanism for the breaking of supersymmetry due to supergravity is assumed to be valid, we obtain a rigorously determined low-energy Lagrangian for the Higgs fields, which depends solely on a single weak-supersymmetry-breaking parameter—the gravitino mass m3/2.
