State density in gaps in the energy spectrum of 2D electrons in a transverse magnetic field
Gavrilov M. G., Kukushkin I. V.
The state density in the gaps of the energy spectrum between Landau levels (Dx) has been determined from an analysis of the thermally activated magnetocon-ductivity of the gas of 2D electrons in silicon metal-insulator-semiconductor structures and GaAs-Al^Ga! _x As structures. The value of (Dx) is shown to be determined by the product μΗ =ω€ τ : Dx = (Im/irfi2) (1 + ^μΗ ) ~1.
