Structure functions of deep inelastic scattering at intermediate x in quantum chromodynamics
The contribution of valence quarks to the structure function of deep inelastic vp scattering at intermediate χ and Q 2 = 5-20 GeV2, i.e., the distribution of valence d quarks in the proton, dv(x), is calculated in quantum chromodynamics. The calculation results which lack adjustable parameters of any sort are in agreement with the experiment.
